Since 1992 · Greater Chicago
CIOGC is the independent, nonpartisan federation of 70+ Islamic organizations across Greater Chicago — advocating for our community and enriching American society through awareness, advocacy, and action.
Building bridges of understanding through workshops, interfaith dialogue, and education that fosters accurate knowledge.
Championing Muslim interests in government, media, and public life — from local action days to civil rights.
Delivering tangible impact through zakat distribution, free health clinics, food pantries, and youth empowerment.
Who We Are
The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) has served as the unifying force for Muslim Americans in the greater Chicago region since 1992.
Our diverse membership represents African Americans, Nigerians, South Asians, Arabs, Bosnians, Albanians, Turks, Latinos, and many more. Through collective action, we empower member organizations with resources, training, and advocacy they couldn't access alone.
